Founded in early 2022, Greenscope, a start-up specializing in SaaS-based ESG performance management solutions, announces the completion of its second round of financing. This operation confirms Greenscope's excellent results and will support its commercial expansion as well as the launch of new functionalities on its platform. Led by its historical investors Xplore by Épopée Gestion and Newfund, this intermediate round prior to Series A will enable Greenscope to maintain its leadership in the market for asset management companies and banks, while confirming its position as a key player for companies subject to CSRD.
Founded by Grégoire Etienne, Jean-Emmanuel Challan-Belval, Eric Chea, and Pierre Edouard Montabrun, Greenscope's mission is to help economic players adopt sustainable and responsible practices. The start-up has experienced rapid growth, with an 8-fold increase in revenues by 2023 and a team of 30 employees.
The European sustainable reporting market, estimated by Xerfi* to be worth between 2.5 and 3.5 billion euros by 2029, involves over 50,000 major companies and 7,000 investors, banks and insurance companies in Europe. The growing awareness of sustainability issues, linked to risk exposure, access to financing and new consumer demands, is making this market a fast-growing sector, far beyond the simple exercise of regulatory reporting.
Recognizing that existing solutions only partially met market needs, Greenscope was the first publisher to create an all-in-one solution, bringing together all ESG verticals in a single tool: impact measurement, regulatory analyses and calculations, reporting... This positioning has enabled us to be systematically identified by industry experts as the most comprehensive solution on the market. This positioning has also been validated by its customers. Greenscope counts numerous companies, asset management firms, banks and insurers among its customers.
By raising 3 million euros, Greenscope, a leader in the ESG reporting sector for investors, plans to triple its revenues thanks to the forthcoming launch of several new services for companies and the opening up of new European markets. On the platform side, the scale-up plans to accelerate the development of new functionalities based on automation and artificial intelligence.
Vladimir Bolze, Partner at Épopée Gestion comments: “We are renewing our confidence in Greenscope, which has experienced significant growth since we acquired a stake in the company last year. The quality of the team and the software platform, as well as the strong commercial traction in the context of the opening up of the CSRD market, were decisive factors in our decision”.
